About
Hey Riviera is part art studio, part journal, part long lunch that turns into something else entirely.
It’s inspired by the California Riviera and the Italian Riviera — by sun-faded places, strong opinions, good bread, beautiful objects, and the kind of afternoons you never quite forget.
I’m Kayla, Californian by birth, Italian on my mom’s side. I’m an artist and write about art, food, design, travel, and the quiet rituals that make everyday life feel richer. Sometimes that looks like an illustrated recipe or a seasonal guide. Sometimes it’s a reflection, a list of things I’m obsessed with, or a love letter to a place, a color, or a meal.
I believe in enthusiasm with taste.
In curiosity over productivity.
In savoring over skimming.
You’ll find Riviera energy here — expressive, passionate, opinionated — alongside Riposo, a slower rhythm for rest and reflection. Not because we’re opting out (obviously), but because even the most beautiful days deserve a pause.
If you like noticing things.
If you have favorites.
If you believe pleasure is a practice and not something to apologize for — you’re in the right place.
Pull up a chair.
I’m so glad you’re here.
